There is so much we don't know about the people around us, their stories and their life experiences. In order to truly connect with someone we have to go beyond the superficial interactions, and be willing to share our stories, to know what makes the other person who s/he is today.
We all have so many layers, but only a part of us is seen by the world around us. To be vulnerable, means to show not only the layer(s) that we are comfortable with, but also the layer(s) that make us feel authentic, that bring us back to the home zone - the part of ourselves that is essential to who we are. When you share your true self, you'll possibly scare some people away, but you'll also bring down the walls that were separating you from those that could connect with you, the people that also want to feel brave to express their many other layers.
When you learn about someone's journey, see how it can inspire you.
Does that change something in you? Perhaps it helps you to look at certain things from a different perspective.
A story can help you feel inspired and moved to go deeper into yourself and unfold your own myths.
