We are only a couple of weeks away from the New Year, and I want to take this opportunity to thank you for being a part of this community, whether you have been following me for a while or you're landing on my website for the first time.
In this month's post, I’d like to focus on the topic of Abundance.
When you think of Abundance, what comes to mind?
According to Merriam-Webster dictionary, the definition of abundance is: “an ample quantity; affluence; wealth”.
To me, abundance is not only wealth in the sense of material possessions, moreover, it has to do with having plenty of physical and emotional sustenance, and spiritual nourishment. It’s about having what we need in each moment while feeling grateful and content with what we have.
When we get caught up in limiting beliefs such as lack, it's hard to feel and experience that we have enough. Sometimes just a slight shift in perspective can help us realize we have plenty, and the more we realize how much we have, the more we feel abundant.
As part of my daily practice, I pause a few times a day to focus on gratitude, not just when life is flowing with ease, but also when it feels challenging. I close my eyes, take a few deep breaths and I give thanks to the Universe for all that I have and all that I am today. Before eating a meal, I say a prayer for having food on the table, and I send gratitude to every person that contributed in the process of getting that meal to me. The people that harvested the ingredients, the people that packed it, transported it, shelved it and prepared it. It’s my way of building a relationship with that meal and savoring it.
If I catch myself having a moment in which I am focusing on what is lacking, I ask Spirit to show me what do I need to see that I am not seeing, and to help me shift my perspective.
It’s not always easy to perceive abundance when we are so used to getting caught up on the things that are not going so well, however it’s a practice we can choose to cultivate.
Could you feel contentment and gratitude for what you have now, while still working toward your goals and dreams?
I invite you to reflect on this and see what comes up for you.
Think about how you’d like to start the New Year and notice what areas of your life you could take more responsibility for making improvements and creating fulfillment for yourself, with less expectations about what others have to do for you.
I encourage you to take a moment to evaluate your life, the lessons it brought to you in 2017, and the reasons you have to be grateful for, so that you can start the New Year on a positive note, welcoming infinite abundance.
May you receive all that you need (emotional, spiritual, physical and material abundance) and may you always have enough.

Hello my dear readers.
We are approaching the end of June, and I have to say "What a ride!". The past few months have been energetically intense for me, and as I talk to other light workers and friends, I find that many of them are also feeling some big shifts happening in their lives.
We have been feeling more sensitive and also no longer afraid to feel and express our emotions, standing up for our truths.
Some days can be quite dark and challenging, but I see them as part of our growth, a time of transformation and realization, similar to a process of a caterpillar turning into a butterfly.
If you're going through a painful phase, I encourage you to remind yourself that it's not permanent, and you will eventually come out of it, hopefully with a new awareness and realizations.
Although we can't control all of the external circumstances in our lives, we still can make a choice of how we are going to face them.
Also, recognize that you don't always have to walk your path all alone!
I've had phases that I felt so trapped in my own story and at the same time didn't think anyone could help me or neither I should ask for help. This approach can make the challenges we are experiencing even harder to bear.
So I allowed myself to let go of the idea of having to keep it all under control and reached out to other fellow healers for guidance and support. Ahh, it felt good to know I didn't have to endure it all by myself.
Yes, there are moments that you have to sit with it alone, to go within, to reflect, and to do the healing work on yourself; and you can also be open for healthy connections that will assist you in your process.
If you don't feel you can open up to your close connections, look for outside support from other healers or support groups in your community. Once you decide to reach out to others, you will be surprised to find out that there are people willing to help you on your journey.
Back in March I started contemplating the idea of moving, but it was just the planting of the seed, as I hadn't thought about where to move to.
Then in May this feeling of needing a change got even stronger that I could not longer ignore or deny it, so I started exploring different towns in order to help me choose where my new home would be.
I spent a whole month away, working remotely, immersing in the experience and observing, in order to find the answer to my quest. I have considered several places, which led to more confusion. So I started eliminating some of my options by weighting the pros and cons, and finally I've narrowed it down to two locations, which helps my search to be more focused and it brings me relief. I am trusting the process and it will all come together in divine timing.
Perhaps there are no wrong decisions, it's all part of our learning process which gives us the ability to experience life in different ways.
The important thing is to make our decisions based on what feels right and true to us. Although we are here to share life with others, we also have to keep in mind our own needs and desires, and make choices that feel aligned with who we are now and with what is important to us.
I recently went to Sedona (Arizona) and connected with the magical and intrinsic beauty that it has to offer. The energy there felt very soothing and grounding to me. I spent some time rock stacking and balancing, as I found it to be a great exercise for patience and persistence.
As I engaged in this activity, I thought about the concept of building solid foundations, how sometimes we have to stumble, to mess up, to collapse, to restart, as we try to create something of value in our lives. Something that can be sustained despite the challenges that will eventually arise, since we'd be strong enough to endure it and to keep working on our goals, on our ourselves, and on the relationships that matter to us.
The pain and the difficulties that we overcome can become our special gift to help others that are going through similar situations that we did. We can choose to endlessly wallow in the past circumstances that weren't pleasant and lament our losses and mistakes, or we can use them to push us forward, to add value to life and to be of service to others in need of support and a helping hand.
Your feelings matter. Your dreams matter. You matter.
Allow yourself the opportunity to rise and even start over if you have to. Every ending leads to a new beginning.

You may be wondering why I am so late to wish you a Happy New Year since we've already entered the month of February, however it was Chinese New Year just a few days ago (Jan 28th) and for those that are familiar with Human Design, the New Year actually started on Jan 22nd, which is when our splendid Sun lands on Gate 41 - The gate of dreaming and fantasy.
I won't go into details about Human Design in this post, however I will share here that Gate 41 is "the pressure to feel, imagine, and find the missing experience that will bring about a sense of completion and wholeness. It is the energy to have a new experience, feeling or idea and bring it into form. The challenge can be in not getting lost in the fantasy."

Some of you are probably experiencing the intense energies of 2017, and that's just the beginning of the year. Fear may creep in from time to time, but these times can help bring immense transformation and growth to many of us.
Uncharted territory can be daunting, the uncertainty of the future can leave us feeling a bit scared, especially when important decisions about our nation and the world are left in the hands of leaders with lack of compassion for others.
However, I write this blog post with an intention to remind you that you also have your inner strength, wisdom and power to contribute to changes in this world, whether you have already realized that or not, and although we may sometimes feel powerless and that our small actions don't matter, please know that they do matter and your gifts are needed.
The collective agreement has influence in our lives, but we as an individual also have influence on the collective, so what we do, say, and think affect our daily lives, therefore it can affect others around us.
Please allow yourself the time to retreat and reflect. How have your experiences shaped you into the person you are today? How can your knowledge and wisdom be used to assist others in need, or that are going through situations you have gone through before? What are your strengths and gifts that you would like to share with the world?
We are not here to prove ourselves to anyone, but we can be more open to discovering who we are and what we want to do with this precious life.
This is a great time for sharing and discussing ideas with others. We transform by getting closer together with different cultures, different philosophies, different visions, different takes on life, different needs, and then we find value in the synergy that can be created.
As humans we have many similarities, we all (or most of us) want fulfillment and peace, joy and love in our lives. We are having our experience in this planet, in a physical body, and our physical life seeks transformation. This transformation is also about how we respond to the world around us. First, the change must happen within, and that change is projected onto the world, in the way we relate to others and the way we experience life; Our gained inner wisdom can guide us to figure out ways to work with others in our circles and communities, sharing our views and discussing ideas and possibilities, without imposing them on others.
Transformation and change are not always easy.
Once we start the inner work, we may face many challenges and even doubts, some of them will be coming from our own minds, others will be coming from other people or situations, many as a reflection of our strongest beliefs.
And that is why the real work must happen within ourselves first. We must be open to heal our wounds, to face our shadows, to accept our imperfections and to learn to love ourselves so we can extend that love and compassion to others.
I invite you to take some time this month to reflect upon this. Allow yourself to imagine, to dream, to be. Integrate the past experiences and gained knowledge with your dreams for the future. Set intentions that are aligned with your soul, instead of simply setting resolutions that you have no true desire to dedicate yourself to.
Life is here and now. Every day we have the choice to direct our thoughts and intentions, and it's very important that we train ourselves to do that, otherwise we easily get caught up in the turmoil of what is going on in the world.
Allow yourself to take breaks from the news, from the things you have no control over in that moment. Allow yourself to pause and take deep breaths daily. Allow yourself to be here, right now. You deserve that. Be an example for those you wish to influence or inspire.
This is your life. Feel it. Experience it. Own it.

It's mid-September already !
The Autumn season - in the Northern Hemisphere - will be soon arriving, delighting us with its colorful leaves on trees and fallen on the ground. And in a couple of weeks I will be celebrating my big 40th birthday. I call it 4.0 Turbo, baby ;-).
As my birthday approaches, I've started to re-evaluate what is still important to me, what are the things I would like to let go of, and what are my next steps.
I'd say that I've always been inquisitive - often pondering upon life's vicissitudes, observing humans patterns and beliefs and wondering "what the bleep are we here for?"
Perhaps the meaning of it all is still a conundrum to me and to many of us. But to question life or why certain things happen - while being at the mercy of fate - is not enough. I believe we must experiment, make mistakes, and learn from them.
In my early 30's I started questioning "how could I best serve others using my gifts?"
I wasn't satisfied with the status quo - I had a stable tech job, a comfortable place to live and a great circle of friends. I was certainly grateful for all that, but I knew deep inside there was something else (besides having a comfortable life) that I needed to do. So I allowed myself to get out of my cocoon and explore the unknown.
Today I understand that we all have our own unique way of finding what is true for us and what serves our calling. That there isn't the "right path" or "one path". There is however a path that is our own and in that path we can allow ourselves to do the things we want to do, to discover a different reality, to try - make mistakes - and try again, without having to compare our path to anyone else's.
When you find yourself questioning "what am I here to do?", perhaps consider backing-up your intentions with some action, diving into the unknown and finding out what floats your boat.
It's true that we all have different personalities and different ways of dealing with the unfamiliar or even with the familiar, and what brings joy to one person might not necessary bring joy to another. And that's why self-discovery is so important, because it allows us to recognize that part of us that is so essential to our fulfillment - that needs nurturing and needs to be noticed.
Stepping beyond the comfort zone can be daunting, and it could make us raise the question "To Do or Not To Do?"
We can sit here and spend our whole lives wondering "what if?" and nothing perhaps would change significantly. Or we can allow ourselves to experiment (whatever that means to each of us) and see for ourselves if that "new thing" is aligned with our purpose and calling or if we need to once again change directions.
And then we might start realizing that the answers we seek are not in the final destination, they are revealed to us in the journey. They start being revealed to us after we take a step, because every action creates a reaction - in the Universe, in our lives.
I recently came across this lovely quote from Anais Nin: "Life shrinks or expands in proportion to one's courage."
So I hope you find the courage To Do what feels aligned with your soul and Not To Do what no longer is serving you in your path.

How do you face and overcome difficult times?
When we create the habit of noticing what is lacking or not working in our lives, it’s easy to fall into that state of discontentment. When we focus on what is missing, nothing seems enough. We tend to believe the story we are telling ourselves over and over again.
We can start changing that story today by choosing to focus on what is going right in our lives, what we have right now, and most importantly - how far we have come. Perhaps it is not so easy to do when one is in the middle of the emotional storm and while going through the fuzzy moments, but with some practice, we can build a more resilient mind and heart. Our soul already knows how to do it, and our body and mind are trying to catch up.
When we look at the difficult times as an opportunity to grow, we allow ourselves to learn the lesson and move on. Then when another difficult time comes, we face it with a more mature perspective, knowing that this also shall pass.
When we hold on to what hurts for too long, it continues to hurt us. So while it’s important to feel our pain and recognize what needs to be changed, it’s also important that at some point we allow ourselves to heal and let go, opening ourselves to the new experiences.
Affirmation: “I open myself to my highest potential”
Sometimes it's important to slow down and make time for self-care.
To experience life in ways that helps us to learn about ourselves and feel more connected with our inner being.
If you feel overwhelmed, anxious or stressed, take a moment to close your eyes, put one hand on your heart, and take a few deep breaths.
Then say this affirmation:
"I give myself my own love."
See the world through eyes of wonder, follow your bliss and your curiosity, and life will never cease to amaze you.
"As we express our gratitude, we must never forget that the highest appreciation is not to utter words, but to live by them." ~ John Kennedy
Before you continue reading, I invite you to pause for a bit and do the following exercise:
Close your eyes and think about one thing, or person, or circumstance in your life that you are grateful for. Picture it and really allow yourself to bask in that feeling of gratitude. Let it melt in you! Really embrace that sensation for a few seconds, with your eyes closed.
Then when you feel ready, take a deep breath and open your eyes.
Do you notice any change in your state of mind? Does your body feel more relaxed?
If this is your first time doing this exercise, perhaps you found it a bit challenging and couldn’t think of anything to be grateful for, or perhaps you really enjoyed it and now you want to do it more often. Double Yay!
Whatever the case, gratitude puts everything into perspective.
When practiced often, gratitude helps you to acknowledge where you are right now in your life and appreciate what you do have, even if you think you still have a long way to go before completing that project, or taking that dream trip, or changing jobs/career, etc
We sometimes get caught up in the things that are not working, or focused on what is lacking in our lives. But in order to manifest “more” it’s important that we recognize what we already have and what is available to us.
We shape our future by how we choose to live our present. The past has led you to where you are now, and the now will also influence your future.
However, when we focus only on what is ahead of us or the things we want to do in the future - we miss the opportunity of really being in the moment and embracing what is, right here, right now.
The choice of looking at what we already have, gives us a sense of peace and also freedom.
We realize that we can still have goals and dreams while also feeling gratitude for what we’ve accomplished, how far we’ve come, and even to the people or things around us that bring joy into our lives.
Perhaps you’re not where you want to be (yet), or have not accomplished all the things you want to accomplish, but you can find peace with the current situation while working towards your desires. You also allow yourself to feel free when you’re not so attached to the outcomes or to the possible future wins.
As Theodore Roosevelt said, “Keep your eyes on the stars and your feet on the ground”.
When I catch myself being frustrated at something, my awareness helps me to stop the frenetic thoughts and look at the bigger picture. Perhaps there are many missing pieces, many more steps to take, many more problems to solve, but I can choose right now to focus on what is going right for me while allowing myself to work through what I want to achieve or get better at. Just allowing myself to be, right here, right now, the way I am, wherever I am at.
If you’re wondering why gratitude is so important, or what it can do for you, I encourage you to really explore what you are grateful for in your life, so that you can get some positive emotions swirling and raise your vibration. It will also help you to get clearer about where you want to focus your creative energy.
Test it out for yourself, make it a part of your routine, or every time you feel a sense of lack. See how that transforms you and the way you perceive life.
A good way to create the habit is to do the gratitude exercise when you’re lying in bed at night or when you wake up in the morning. Count your blessings. Think about a few things you’re grateful for that day and why you’re grateful for them. For example, if I think “I am so grateful for this bed, BECAUSE it makes me FEEL warm, comfortable, relaxed, blessed.” etc
When we get more specific - like in the example above - it creates a deeper sensation of gratitude in us than just the general listing, because it helps us to connect with the feelings that are important to us and to better understand what brings us more fulfillment.
Don’t be surprised if you get a good night’s sleep when you do the gratitude exercise right before bed. It can also help you to start your day on the right foot when do it before getting out of bed in the morning.
It can be difficult to do at first if you’re not used it, but once you start seeing the changes in your own daily life - the ability of being more present, the feeling of having enough, the mindset to attract more abundance, the joy of connecting with yourself and others - this practice will naturally become a part of you and you’ll realize that it will be easier to find reasons to be grateful for.
My Reiki Teacher and friend - Yolanda Williams - said the following in one of her recent blog posts:
“Live as one who is free, not as one in fear. Start each day in freedom, with a heart full of gratitude for all that is seen and unseen.
Carry on in full appreciation for life, itself. Live.”
May you feel the freedom and peace in your heart, mind and soul.
There is so much we don't know about the people around us, their stories and their life experiences.
We all have so many layers, but only a part of us is seen by the world around us. To be vulnerable, means to show not only the layer(s) that we are comfortable with, but also the layer(s) that make us feel authentic, that bring us back to the home zone - the part of ourselves that is essential to who we are. When you share your true self, you'll possibly scare some people away, but you'll also bring down the walls that were separating you from those that could connect with you, the people that also want to feel brave to express their many other layers.
When you learn about someone's journey, see how it can inspire you.
Does that change something in you? Perhaps it helps you to look at certain things from a different perspective.
A story can help you feel inspired and moved to go deeper into yourself and unfold your own myths.
