I would like to invite you to take a few moments to reflect and look at the beliefs you have about yourself. Perhaps this will require more than just a few moments, since we are talking about ingrained beliefs, but notice what comes up when you answer this question:
Do you feel that you are enough the way you are, or do you feel like you always have to prove something to others in order to feel worthy?
We are conditioned by our environment that we are not good enough the way we are, that we always need to know more, that we need to do more, that we have to perform in a certain way in order to have value.
Isn't it insane to live our lives with this belief?
This feeling of not being enough can spill into our personal relationships and our choice of work/jobs. The pressure that we always need to know what we’re doing next and what we’re doing with our lives can be very limiting to our expression and block us from living in flow.
Sometimes we just have to sit with the unknown. It doesn't mean giving up on our dreams and desires, but simply being open to how it will come about.
We also don't need anyone's approval to feel whole, to feel enough and worthy.
We can choose to see ourselves in our wholeness, and that is a practice. It means that we might need to ignore other people's opinions and perceptions about who we are and what we should be.
This past month I spent many many hours communing with nature - walking on the beach, watching the waves, the birds, smelling the flowers and touching trees. These solo moments in nature allow me to just be, as I observe its perfection and contemplate the sweetness of life. It’s especially helpful when I am going through something challenging and need to feel more balanced and replenished. Nature is medicine.
I encourage you to take a moment for yourself (daily) to affirm and contemplate the idea of being enough and truly give yourself permission to feel it, to remember your essence.
Don't wait for anyone’s validation or understanding of who you are.
The universe adores you but it cannot yield to you differently than how you feel about yourself.
You are enough and you are lovable, just the way you are.
